Chapter 17, Problem 3MC
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
Immunology has three applications. They are active immunization by vaccination, passive immunization using antibodies or immunoglobulins, and immune testing. Immunization is a process that makes a person immune against infection. A biological preparation that offers immunity against a particular disease is termed as vaccine. Infectious diseases are more likely controlled by vaccination. If people fail to get vaccinated, millions of people suffer from infectious diseases around the world, for example, polio, mumps, and measles.
