Hormones are the chemical substances which are formed and released by specific group of cells called the glands they act on their specific site which are known as the target cells. They are formed in extremely minute quantities. They are site specific. They react only when they reach their exact target cells. If they do not reach their target organ and if they do not react, so finally after a fix period of time they are destroyed.
