Introduction:
Gene expression involves the formation of functional gene product from the stored genetic information. The central dogma is the best example of gene expression in which genetic information stored in DNA is used to make mRNA and further protein. The genes should be turned on and activated to express themselves at their target location
Gene regulation involves the activity of cells to control the expression of genes. It is very important to control the gene expression at a uniform level. It includes where, why, how much and when the genes are needed. The genes should not be over expressed or under expressed. Gene regulation is done at each and every level of gene expression.
