To describe:The path of blood flow in the fetus, starting with the placenta, and the structures that are unique to fetal circulation.
Introduction:
Fetal circulation is the circulation system of the fetus and lungs are not used in this circulation. Therefore this prenatal circulatory system is different from the postnatal circulation system. Placenta keeps the fetus's blood supply separate from the maternal blood supply. The umbilical cord is the birth cord that connects the fetus to the womb of the mother.
