Introduction:
Leukocytes belong to the five different classes that are distinguished functionally and morphologically with each class exhibiting complex internal structural differences.
The leukocytes are broadly categorized based on the presence or absence of specific granular bodies (granulocytes or agranulocytes, respectively) and again are categorized based on further differences. Basophils take up a basic stain (methylene blue) and eosin.
