Hemostasis is a process; in which stopping of bleeding occurs in order to halt the loss of blood through the walls of damaged vessels. This process takes place in three phases namely the vascular phase, the platelet phase and the coagulation phase. The coagulation phase is also known as blood clotting phase, which requires several clotting factors to complete the clotting process.
