Streptococcus pyogenes is a “Gram-positive bacteria”. They are aerotolerant, nonmotile nonspore forming bacteria. These bacteria cause pyogenes (impetigo), erysipelas, and necrotizing fasciitis in humans. Streptococcus pyogenes bacteria are a part of normal skin microflora which occasionally causes disease in the human body.
