Summary Introduction

To write:

About the effects of ADH on principal cells.

Introduction:

Principal cells are main sodium ion reabsorbing cells. It secretes potassium ions through potassium channels. In other words, it mediates collecting ducts influence on sodium and potassium balance through sodium and potassium channels. These channels are determined by the aldosterone. Another component, the Vasopressin, also, determines the physical pathway for water to pass through. The two, aldosterone and vasopressin, together facilitates the principal cell to control the quantity of water to be reabsorbed. ADH, secreted by signals from hypothalamus, is directly involved in water reabsorption.
