The lymphatic system consists of lymphoid cells, lymphoid tissues, and lymphoid organs. The lymphoid organs help in the maturation of lymphoid cells as well as their activation when they encounter pathogens. There are two types of lymphoid organs, namely primary lymphoid organs and secondary lymphoid organs.
