Reading a Ballot Initiative. Consider the following ballot initiative, which appeared in the 2010 statewide elections in Oklahoma and was passed.
This measure... requires that each person appearing to vote present a document proving their identity. - Construct a workload assignment given the case below (25pts) Verification Department of a credit company is in-charged in verifying and approving loans. The department consist of 7 loan officers reporting from 8am-5pm, Monday until Friday. They are required to verify and process at least 500 loan applications per day which status might be pending, approved or denied. For the three upper floor apartments, in no particular order, the notes were as follows. a)Bob is in the apartment directly below me. b)Amy is in an apartment next to this one. c)Jim lives here. For the three ground floor apartments, again in no particular order, the notes were as follows. d)Either Dave or Jim lives in the apartment directly above me. e) As you face my door, Tina's apartment is to your left on this floor. f) Sally lives here. - The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) provides a toll-free help line for taxpayers to call in and get answers to questions as they prepare their tax returns. In recent years, the IRS has been inundated with taxpayer calls and has redesigned its phone service as well as posted answers to frequently asked questions on its website (The Cincinnati Enquirer, January 7, 2010). According to a report by a taxpayer advocate, callers using the new system can expect to wait on hold for an unreasonably long time of 12 minutes before being able to talk to an IRS employee. Suppose you select a sample of 50 callers after the new phone service has been implemented; the sample results show a mean waiting time of 10 minutes before an IRS employee comes on the line. Based upon data from past years, you decide it is reasonable to assume that the standard deviation of waiting time is 8 minutes. Using your sample results, can you conclude that the actual mean waiting time turned out to be significantly less…arrow_forward3. The Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) magazine drive‑thru study visits restaurants in the largest fast‑food chains in all 50 states. Visits occurred throughout the day, starting at 5:00 A.M and ending at 7:00 P.M. During each visit, the researcher ordered a main item, a side item, and a drink and made a minor special request such as a beverage with no ice. After receiving the order, all food and drink items were checked for complete accuracy. Any food or drink item received that was not exactly as ordered resulted in the order being classified as inaccurate. Also included in the measurement of accuracy were condiments asked for, napkins, straws, and correct change. Any errors in these resulted in the order being classified as innacurate. In 2019, Arby's, Burger King, Carl's Jr., Chick-fil-A, Dunkin', Hardee's, KFC, McDonald's, Taco Bell, and Wendy's were included in the study. KFC had the most…arrow_forward
