2. The Tissue is a group of similar cells with common function. The body has four basic Tissues: Epithelial Tissue, Connective Tissue, Muscle Tissue and Nerve Tissue.
3. Pathologic Hypertrophy refers to an abnormal decrease in the size of each cell. Hypertrophy is a decrease in the size of cells and may be Physiologic or Pathologic.

Increased workload (skeletal muscle) or Hormone induced (pregnant uterus) are examples of Physiologic Hypertrophy.
Dysplasia refers to the replacement of one mature cell type with a more mature cell type. Atrophy refers to a reduced size of an organ due to a decrease in cell size and number, can be physiologic or pathologic.
