Over applied overhead is amount of overhead which is excess over the actual overhead. It is the amount that the estimated overhead exceeds the actual overhead incurred for the Year.
If the overhead applied to a work in process product is less than the actual overhead incurs in that period under applied overhead is reported on the balance sheet as prepaid expenses.
To calculate:
