Chapter 20, Problem 14TYR
Summary Introduction

Introduction:

The veins have less pressure when compared to arteries. In general, veins have about 12 to 18 mm Hg pressure. In order to ensure the flow of blood in one way, valves are present. For example, the skeletal muscle helps inflow of the blood. The muscle contraction can squeeze the veins and able to force the blood from one valve to another. On the other hand, the valves ensure the one way flow of the blood.
