Introduction:
The gastrointestinal tract can be defined as an organ system present in humans and other animals that takes in food which is digested, the nutrients and energy absorbed. It excretes the waste in the form of feces. Chyme can be defined as the pulpy acidic fluid that consists of gastric juices and semi-digested food which passes from the region of the stomach to the small intestine.
