Summary Introduction

Introduction:

Tuberculosis is primarily a lung infection. The causative agent of tuberculosis is Mycobacterium tuberculosis. As the pathogen is air-borne it is a communicable disease and effects to close to 9 million people per annum. Major symptoms that are visible are fever, weight loss, cough, and night sweats. There are very scarce antimicrobials available that work against Mycobacterium tuberculosis because it has a waxy cell wall hence, entry of drug is prohibited.
