Introduction: The plasma contains about 30 special proteins that form the complement system. There are three pathways for complement action. These are the classical pathway, the lectin pathway, and the alternative pathway.

Introduction: The body contains a well-defined system to protect itself from infections and harmful agents. This system is known as the immune system. The two types of immune systems are innate immune system and adaptive immune system. The goal of these two types of immune systems is to protect the body from pathogens.
