Concept Introduction:
Fishes and tetrapods are the member of family chordates. The unique characteristic of this group of animal is that they contain a notochord, a hollow nerve cord, pharyngeal slits and a post anal tail. Fishes live in water whereas tetrapods live both on land and water. Fishes use gills for exchange of gases. Terapods use lungs to respire.
