Interpretation:
The steelmaking process has to be briefly explained.
Concept introduction:
Steelmaking is a method for producing steel from iron ores and scraps. In this process, impurities like nitrogen, silicon, phosphorous, sulfur and excess of carbons were removed from the iron ore. By adding elements such as manganese, nickel, chromium and vanadium to this iron we will get different types of steel. The conversion of iron to steel is an oxidation process.
