Summary Introduction
To determine:
The differences between the fossil evidence of a mammal with tunicates and lancelets.
Concept Introduction:
Tunicates, lancelets and mammals all are included under the phylum Chordata. The important characteristic of chordates is that they have a notochord, a dorsal hollow nerve, pharyngeal slits and a post anal tail. A fossil represents the traces and remains of an animal or plants that have been preserved in rock for longer time.
