Introduction:
Ground pines are the small and yellow-flowered Eurasian plant (mint family). These plants look like a pine seedling in physical features and smell. It is a North American clubmoss that has small shiny leaves. These leaves resemble a small conifer.
Spike mosses are the member of the plant genus Selaginella. They are usually dispersed in all parts of the world mainly in the tropics. They contain scale-like leaves which are spirally organized. These leaves are also present in pairs of four on the branches and stems. The spore-bearing leaves are alike to the normal leaves. These are grouped in spikes or strobili.
