Chapter 21, Problem 2MC
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
Protists are found in various habitats. Sometimes, a habitat can be flooded with warm water rich in nutrients. This causes a population explosion of the protists in the region. Depending on the type of Protist, the water may turn yellow, pink, orange, or brown. Most common color found in this situation is red. Thus, this phenomenon is known as red tide.
