Summary Introduction
Introduction:
The interstitial fluid called lymph which is found outside the cell contains some water dissolved ions, proteins, foreign materials like pathogens and cell debris. During the capillary exchange, some of the components of lymph and excess fluid are absorbed by the lymphatic capillaries. Any defect in the drainage of lymph could cause accumulation of interstitial fluid around the cells a condition called lymphedema.
