During embryonic development, three germ layers are formed. Innermost endoderm, mesoderm, and outermost ectoderm are the three germ layers that develop into different body regions. The body cavity known as coelom which is filled with fluid is also found along with three germ layers. Animals have been classified on the basis of the different type of body cavity.
