Fishes are included under the class vertebrate. They are the aquatic vertebrates which possess jaws, gills and fins. Fishes are classified under two main clades: the cartilaginous fishes and the bony fishes. Fishes are found in almost all type of aquatic habitat including fresh water to marine water.
