Tissues are group of cells that have a common origin and the cells of a tissue have similar functions. Different organs have different functions as they have different tissues and hence different cells. In a plant which comprise myriad of tissues like the photosynthetic tissues conductive tissues and many other type of tissues, there collaborative goal is to carry out photosynthesis, as they are the only producers which can make their own food by the process of photosynthesis.
