Introduction:

Antifungals are the medications used to treat a fungal infection. Antifungals are also known as antimycotic medication. Amphotericin B is an antifungal agent which is used to cure chronic fungal infections such as candidiasis, blastomycosis, aspergillosis, and cryptococcosis. In 1955, Amphotericin B was isolated from a bacterial species Streptomyces nodosus.
