Summary Introduction
To review:
The three secretory products which provide the protection to intestinal mucosa from the bacterial damage.
Introduction:
The intestinal mucosa consist of different types of structures to prevent it from the bacterial damage. Some important structures are Peyer's patches, Intestinal crypts and Paneth cells. Peyer's patches which are the aggregation of lymphoid nodules. Intestinal crypts are the tubular glands which are present in between the villi, and Paneth cells are present deep into the crypts helps in releasing the antimicrobial agents.
