The anastomoses are defined as the connection between blood vessels, such as two arteries, two veins, or a vein and an artery. The link formed between two arteries is known as the arterial anastomoses. The connection formed between two veins is known as the veno-venous anastomoses. Similarly, the link formed between a vein and an artery is known as the arterio-venous anastomoses.
