To determine:
The function of the MHC antigens.
Introduction:
Immunity is defined as the presence of different components and mechanisms for defending the organism from infections or attack of other antigens. The immune system has both specific and unspecific type of immunity. MHC belongs to specific type of acquired immunity and are important in deciding histocompatibility and identifying foreign antigens within the system.
To determine:
Why are the genes that encode these antigens so variable?
Introduction:
Immunity is defined as the presence of different components and mechanisms for defending the organism from infections or attack of other antigens. The main function of MHC is to recognize the pathogen released by foreign body, bind with the soluble pathogen and then present it and present it on the surface of the cell so that T-cells could identify it, because T-cell only identifies MHC-antigen complex, and destroys the antigen, the T-cell is incapable of destroying soluble antigen.
