Comparison on the capabilities of Cisco’s IX5000 immersive telepresence and the Logitech SmartDock systems:

The Cisco’s IX5000 immersive telepresence system is much easier and more affordable than in the past.

• This telepresence system is made of 4K ultra-high-definition cameras clustered discreetly above three 70-inch LCD screens.
• The cameras provide crisp, high-definition video, theater-quality sound emanates from 18 custom speakers and one powerful subwoofer, creating a high-quality lifelike collaboration experience for 8 to 18 people.
• This system allows the users to get a more natural feeling that the older versions, because of its high-end technology.
• The cameras used in the system can create images that are four times larger than what is needed to fill the screens, and then it cuts down the images to show the other participants as if they are also sitting at the conference table.
