Question
Chapter 23, Problem 5RQ
Summary Introduction
To determine:
The pointed tongue papilla that is not involved in taste reception.
Introduction:
Taste receptors or gustatory receptors are located around the papillae mainly present on the upper surface of the tongue. Papillae are nodules and are of three types, namely fungiform, filiform, and circumvallate. They are involved in the detection of different tastes of the food such as sour, salty, bitter, sweet, and umami.
