Introduction: Three types of solutes are excreted in urine. These are urea, creatinine and uric acid. Urea is produced by the breakdown of amino acids in the liver. Creatinine is produced from the breakdown of creatine phosphate, and uric acid is the recycled material of the nitrogenous bases of RNA.
