Introduction:
Genetic screening is always suggested to the pregnant women and typically discussed with expectant parents at the time of first prenatal visit. Screening tests were performed to learn the birth defects and/or inherited genetic disorders. These tests can detect certain chromosomal disorders like Down syndrome, cystic fibrosis, Tay-Sachs disease, spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), and sickle cell anemia to determine the complications associated with the fetus.
