Introduction:
Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder associated with increased blood glucose levels. Its symptoms include excessive thirst, frequent urination and increased hunger. The hormone insulin produced by pancreas is either low or absent in diabetic individuals. There are two forms of diabetes mellitus identified as Type I DM and Type II DM.
