Chapter 24, Problem 2CSL
Summary Introduction
To identify:
The hormone that could be administrated to decrease blood volume: antidiuretic hormone, aldosterone, parathyroid hormone, or atrial natriuretic peptide. Also, explain.
Concept introduction:
The pituitary gland secretes the antidiuretic hormone. Aldosterone hormone is secreted by the adrenal cortex. Parathyroid hormone is secreted by the parathyroid gland and the atrial natriuretic peptide is released by the atrial cardiac cells.
