Introduction:

AIDS is a syndrome which means that it is a not a single disease. In fact it is a group of diseases. It is caused by HIV virus. The full form of HIV is Human immunodeficiency virus which is a type of retro virus. Retro viruses are those viruses in which the genetic material is RNA not DNA. HIV targets the immune cells and kills them and makes the immune system of the host weak and it may also result in the death of the host.
