Introduction: The retina is the thin layer that is present in the back of the eye near to the optic nerve. The main function of the retina is to receive the light from the lens and convert them into a neuronal signal. This signal passess to the brain through the optic nerve for visval recognition.

Introduction: The eye is the organ of the vision. The structure of the eye consists of the iris, cornea, retina, lens, macula, optic nerve, pupil, choroid, and vitreous. It is made up of three layers. The outer layer consists of the fibrous tunic, the middle layer consists of the vascular tunic and the inner layer consists of the retina.
