They can be round or oval in shape, and are present along the path of lymphatic vessels. Lymph nodes are found in clusters at different locations in the body. Each of the lymph nodes is surrounded by a capsule made up of tough connective tissues. This capsule has internal extensions, called trabeculae, going into the nodes and dividing the nodes into compartments.
