Introduction:
Biogeochemical cycles are pathways by which chemical substances move through biotic and abiotic components of the ecosystem. It is of two types, namely sedimentary and gaseous. Phosphorous cycle is a sedimentary cycle while nitrogen, carbon and water are gaseous cycles.
The human activities remove nutrients from its reservoirs and exchange pools, and thereby disturb the normal balance of nutrients in the environment.
