The urogenital tract of females consists of kidneys, ureter, bladder, urethra, uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, and vagina. The kidney and bladder are considered as sterile. It means that these sites do not contain presence of any microbes. The urethra and vagina of females contain their own normal flora which functions in maintaining the constant pH at these sites.
