Chapter 24.5, Problem 1QC
Summary Introduction

To review:

The two routes of reabsorption and secretion.

Introduction:

In renal physiology, reabsorption represents the process through which the solutes and water are removed from the tubular fluid and returned to the bloodstream by the nephron. However, secretion is the opposite of re-absorption which represents the process of transferring the materials to the renal tubular lumen from peritubular capillaries.

Blurred answer
Students have asked these similar questions
How is reabsorption different from secretion?
What adaptations do tubule cells have for reabsorption?
What is the relationship between the amount of sodium ions in the blood and nephron function, urine volume, and blood pressure?
