Introduction: The glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is tightly regulated due to the amount of substances reabsorbed into the blood and the amount of urine excreted. Atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) is a hormone which is released from the atrial cardiac muscle cells into the blood in response of stretch of cardiac chamber.
