Chapter 25, Problem 10CP
Summary Introduction
To review:
The conditions under, which the glycogenesis and glycogenolysis occur in the body.
Introduction:
Glucose is stored in the body in the form of glycogen. Glycogen is synthesized from glucose-6-phosphate mainly in the muscles and liver and it is stored in the tissue as glycogen molecules. Glycogenesis is the synthesis of glycogen, a polysaccharide of glucose and glycogenolysis is the breakdown of the glycogen.
