Explanation of Solution

The elevations of the building are horizontal orthographic projection on to a vertical plane. The vertical plane is parallel to one side of the building. Elevation can be drawn in four steps such as layout, drawing completion, placing annotation and dimensions, and preparing for plotting. The scales used to draw elevations is 1/4=10 .

The main elevations of a structure are generally drawn by the architect or job captain in the preliminary stage of design, and then a senior drafter gets to finish the elevations.
