Introduction:

Malaria is a mosquito-bornediseasethatcauses infection in humans and other animals. It is caused by Plasmodium, a protozoan. It is transmitted by the bite of an infected female Anopheles mosquito. The Plasmodium have four different stages in its life cycle in the human and mosquito host. These stages are sporozoite, merozoite, trophozoite, and schizont stage, a fifth stage called gametocyte is also present, which do not cause symptoms of malaria.
