Concept introduction:

Carpal tunnel syndrome represents a type of peripheral neuropathy. It includes the problem associated with peripheral nerves that send information from brain and spinal cord to rest of the body. In carpal tunnel syndrome median nerve in the wrist gets compressed that leads to numbness or pain in the forearm and hands.
