The brain is the important organ of the central nervous system. The average weight of the brain is about 1.4 to 1.6 kilograms. Brain is anatomically subdivided into three parts forebrain, midbrain, and hindbrain. The forebrain is the front portion of the brain. Midbrain is the region that connects the forebrain to hindbrain and hindbrain is the lower back region of the brain.
