Concept explainers
To list: The light regimes that resulted in flowering.
Introduction: Blooming is the time period at which a plant flowers. Photoperiodism is the physiological process occurring in plants especially for the development of flowers in response to day length. Plants are classified on the basis of photoperiodism into short-day, long-day, and day-neutral plants. Plants that flower when day length is short and night is long are called short-day plants. Long-day plants flower when day length is long and night is short. Day-neutral plants are plants that are not affected by both lengths of day or night.
To predict: The effect of adding a far-red regime briefly in the middle of dark period and also to predict the effect of red light in middle of dark period for each light regime.
