Chapter 26.4, Problem 17BYGO
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
The post-absorptive state refers to the overnight, late morning, and late afternoon. In this period, our body needs energy because there is a depletion of nutrients in the blood. During this time, the stored energy meets the body’s demands. In the post-absorptive state, the body mobilizes the stored glycogen into blood, and then it enters cells for providing energy by the glycolysis process.
