The effect of decrease in the pH of body fluids have on the respiratory rate.
Introduction:
pH is based on the hydrogen ion concentration present in the fluid. The more the hydrogen ion the less the pH would be. As the pH of the body fluids decreases, the concentration of H+ increases. This could cause acidosis. The rate of respiration would increase if the pH decreases.
